I’ve been informed of rumors speculating that the Marlins may be shopping starting pitcher Earl Krause in exchange for pitching prospects.
Krause, the former first overall draft pick in 2012, had disappointed ever since, with a career ERA of 5.07 with just 39 wins. Opposing batters are hitting .281 against him this season, despite his very good K/BB ratio. He was once touted to “turn the Marlins franchise around”.
Other spare parts for sale include Nelson Colomerero, Sim Blankley, and Nate Veeck.
