According to the Oakland Athletics their strategy for the next couple of years will be to spend very little money, due to the fact that they don’t believe they can compete with the Seattle Mariners or the California Cutthroats for the AL West title next year. This has created speculation that they may try to move ace SP Gaby Hernandez.
Insiders close to the team state that Hernandez’s name has indeed been thrown around in trade talks, but it hasn’t gone much further than that.
